Our "A la Carte" Tours are designed for those travelers that only have few days available, or who already are present in our country. Please feel free to contact us if you do not find what you are looking for so that we can assist you that you enjoy your stay to the most. We will tailor our tours to your convenience.

  • LAKE ATITLAN ONE DAY

    In the morning leave for Lake Atitlan, a beautiful highland lake surrounded by 3 volcanoes. Aldous Huxley named it “the world’s most beautiful lake”. On arrival boat tour of the lake to visit two Tz’utujil indigenous villages: First San Juan la Laguna where you will have a cultural tour to learn about the process of drying, weaving, and preparing the warp. Then visit Santiago Atitlan, which is the biggest village on the lakeshore of Atitlan Lake. The artisans specialize in tempera paintings, woodwork and weavings. In the afternoon return to your hotel.


  • CHICHICASTENANGO ONE DAY

    Departure Thursdays or Sundays

    Journey into the highlands of Guatemala where you will come in contact with the living Maya culture. Our first stop is Chichicastenango, where you will visit the biggest and most colorful market in Guatemala. In this town the sacred Maya Tzolk’in Calendar is still observed and at the Santo Thomas Church you can see a fascinating blend of Catholic and traditional Mayan rites. It is also possible to observe original shamanic ceremonies. After lunch (not included) return to your hotel.

  • CHICHICASTENANGO AND PANAJACHEL ONE DAY

    Departure Thursdays or Sundays

  • TIKAL ONE DAY - UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE

    Early in the morning transfer to the airport to board the flight that will take you to Flores. Upon arrival transfer to Tikal and visit the site, one of the largest archaeological sites in Mesoamerica. Visit of the famous Plaza Central with the Temples I and II, the Temple IV, which is the highest known temple in the Maya world, Temples III and V, the North and Central Acropolis, as well as the Lost World astrological observation center, where you will learn first-hand about Mayan astronomy and astrology, the importance of time and its measurement and how the special cosmic influences of each day translated into the Maya Calendar. Tikal reached its peak period around AD 700 under its King Hasaw Chan Kawil (AD 682 to AD 734). In the afternoon, head back to the airport to board your flight back to Guatemala City. Transfer to your hotel.


  • LAKE ATITLAN AND CHICHICASTENANGO 2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT

    Departure Wednesdays or Saturdays.

    1st Day: Antigua – Lake Atitlan
    In the morning leave for Lake Atitlan, a beautiful highland lake surrounded by 3 volcanoes. Aldous Huxley named it “the world’s most beautiful lake”. On arrival boat tour of the lake to visit two  Tz’utujil indigenous villages: San Juan la Laguna where you will have a cultural tour to learn the whole process of drying, weaving, and preparing the warp.   • TIKAL 2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT (COLLECTIVE TOUR)

    1st Day: Antigua-Guatemala-Flores-Tikal
    Early in the morning transfer to the airport to board the flight that will take you to Flores. Upon arrival, transfer to Tikal for a visit of one of the archaeological sites in Mesoamerica.

  • COPAN AND RIO DULCE 3 DAYS / 2 NIGTHS

    1st Day: Antigua-Copan (Honduras, UNESCO World Heritage site)
    In the morning transfer to Copan to visit one of the most fascinating Mayan ruins. Copan was the capital city of a major Classic period kingdom from the 5th to 9th centuries AD. Copán had an occupational history that spanned more than two thousand years. The visit includes the Acropolis: divided into two big plazas, the Ball court, the second largest to be found in Central America, the Hieroglyphic stairway and the Great Plaza, famous for its stelae and altars. An optional tour is the visit of the sculpture museum and the Macaw bird reserve.

    2nd Day: Copan-Quirigua-Rio Dulce
    After breakfast you will depart for the archaeological site of Quirigua, which is famous for its largest stelae in the Maya world. Quirigua was declared Patrimony of Humanity in 1981. Continue to Rio Dulce to visit the Castillo of San Felipe. Night on the shores of the river.

     

    3rd Day: Rio Dulce-Livingston-Rio Dulce-Antigua
    After breakfast, enjoy the Caribbean flair of this river on a 2 ½ hour boat ride/tour. You will visit the bird island where you can observe a variety of water birds, cruise through the impressive Rio Dulce canyon, visit the Ak´ Tenamit development project providing education for local Maya Queq’chi children, and arrive at Livingston, a small town populated by the Caribbean Garifuna people. In the afternoon return to Guatemala City or Antigua.


  • RIO DULCE AND LIVINGSTON 3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS

    1st Day: Antigua-Quirigua-Rio Dulce
    In the morning departure to the archaeological site of Quirigua, which is famous for its largest stelae in the Maya world. Quirigua was declared Patrimony of Humanity in 1981. Continue to Rio Dulce to visit the Castillo of San Felipe. Night on the shores of the river.

    2nd Day: Rio Dulce – Livingston-Rio Dulce  
    After breakfast, enjoy the Caribbean flair of this river on a 2h30 hour boat ride/tour. You will visit the bird island where you can observe a variety of water birds, cruise through the impressive Rio Dulce canyon, visit the Ak´ Tenamit development project providing education for local Maya Queq’chi children, and finally arrive at Livingston, a small town populated by the Caribbean Garifuna people. Return to Rio Dulce.The rest of the day is free at leisure.

    3rd Day: Rio Dulce – Antigua
    After breakfast transfer to Guatemala City or Antigua. You will have the option to visit the waterfalls and hot springs of Finca el Paraiso, which is located about 20-25 minutes from Rio Dulce by car and then it takes about 10 minutes on foot to reach the place. In the afternoon transfer back to Antigua.


  • TIKAL AND YAXHA 3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS

    1st Day: Antigua-Flores-Tikal
    Early in the morning transfer to the airport to board the flight that will take you to Flores.     Breakfast at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. In the afternoon, transfer to Yaxha. Night at a lodge in the middle of the jungle.

    3rd Day:  Yaxha-Flores-Guatemala-Antigua
    After breakfast sightseeing of the site of Yaxha, which is one of our favorites. Yaxha consists of more than 500 structures, including 40 stelae, 13 altars, 9 temple pyramids, 2 ball courts, and a network of sacbeob (causeways) that connect the Central and Northern Maler, with the and Eastern Acropolis. The top of Temple 216 provides a fantastic view of the two lakes and the surrounding jungle canopy. We can also arrange a tour to the island of Topoxte, home to yet another Mayan site. In the afternoon transfer to the airport to board your flight back to Guatemala City and transfer to your hotel.

  • HALF DAY GUATEMALA CITY MORNING TOUR

    Departure from your hotel. You will visit the Archaeological Museum where you will see very special pieces (stele, ceramics, tombs, jade jewelery) of the Mayan heritage. After visit of the Guatemala City Central Plaza center in order to visit the National Palace, the Cathedral, and the church La Merced. Return to your hotel.

  • HALF DAY ANTIGUA TOUR

    Walking tour of the charming colonial city of Antigua, which was the capital of the vice kingdom of Guatemala from 1543 to 1773. Declared UNESCO Patrimony of Humanity) in 1979, most ruined churches and monasteries were built during that period. You visit the Plaza Central with the Generals Palace, the Municipality, the Cathedral, the Church La Merced, as well as the Capuchinas Convent. Finish your trip with a visit of the local Jade Museum and factory, where you will receive (as an) introduction into the classical Maya culture.

  • FULL DAY GUATEMALA CITY TOUR

    Departure from your hotel. You will visit the National Museum of Archaeology where you will see an extensive collection of stelae, ceramics, incense burners and other items found in Maya tombs and excavations, continue your visit at the Ixchel museum where you will see a wonderful collection of textiles. Finally visit of the National Palace in the City Center, the Cathedral church, the Central Market and the Republic’s Relief Map. Transfer back to your hotel.

  • FULL DAY ANTIGUA TOUR

After lunch, visit of the villages of San Antonio Aguas Calientes, well known for its textiles, Ciudad Vieja, Guatemala's former capital, San Pedro Las Huertas and San Juan del Obispo. Return to your hotel.

  • FULL DAY IXIMICHE AND COMALAPA MORNING TOUR

    In the morning you will visit the archaeological site of Iximche, where Guatemala's first capital was established. Then continue to Comalapa, a small town whose inhabitants specialize in naïve paintings. Visit the art galleries, which are mostly located in private artists homes, each artist will be happy to present their works of art and even put them up for sale. The paintings depict scenes from people’s day-to-day lives and indigenous traditions.

  • SAN ANDRES ITZAPA

    In this small village you can visit Maximon, or San Simon, a local Maya saint-effigy which is venerated at a shrine built for ‘him’. You can observe people arriving with offerings to Maximon: cigars, alcohol and candles will be used in cleansings and other shamanic ceremonies. (Duration 2 hours)

  • HORSEBACK RIDING

    You can choose either a 2 or 3 hour excursion in the area surrounding Antigua. You will enjoy beautiful views of the Panchoy valley. We would be happy to organize a horseback ride on the shores of the beautiful Lake Atitlan for you. For those who would like the full experience, we offer 4 to 7 day horseback rides in the Cuchumatanes Mountains. Horseback riding experience is required.
